One of the aims of the West Midlands Every Voice Counts Network (WMEVC) is to develop a forum for those interested in community empowerment practice across the West Midlands region.
This will be a forum made up of individuals wanting to participate in more practical ways to share experiences and learning about community development and empowerment. This will be a cross sector and active forum of practitioners which will act as ‘champions’ of empowerment, and will enable people to ‘think outside of the box’- to listen to and learn from each others perspectives and initiate dialogue that would inform and inspire future strategies for empowerment across the region.
These ‘champions’ will be brought together to discuss and share learning by identifying and visiting empowerment activities through exchange visits and also action learning and workshops.
